Dr Peter Campbell MRCGP, MB BCH BAO, DipMSK, DFSEM (UK), DMH, DCH
Dr Peter Campbell has been the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Lead for the Causeway GP federation since 2019 responsible for overseeing 18 GP practices and, a GP Partner in Coleraine since 2012. He has also been an Orthopaedic & Musculoskeletal Specialist GP with the Belfast Orthopaedic ICATS service for 19 years and continues in this role one day per week.
He qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 2000 and worked in a variety of postgraduate specialities including Rheumatology, gaining MRCGP (with Merit) in 2006.
Dr Campbell has been injecting since 2001 and has performed thousands of injections to date. He has completed anatomical landmark and ultrasound injection training with Rheumatology, Radiology and Orthopaedics.
Dr Campbell has extensive experience teaching Queen’s University Belfast Medical School Undergraduates, and, Postgraduate Doctors in MSK assessments and injection techniques.
He is passionate about helping ease the burden of pain and, getting people back to the outlets they enjoy most.

Dr Campbell has successfully combined his medical training with a first-class sporting career in both Gaelic football and rugby. He represented Tyrone in Gaelic Football at all age levels, including winning Ulster Championships at U18 and Senior levels. He is one of a very select few to have won a Sigerson and Ryan Cup Medals with QUB GAA and, an All-Ireland University U20 Conroy Cup medal with QUB Rugby.
He continues to enjoy keeping fit through running, skiing and surfing. He is also an active member of Portstewart Golf Club and a past member of the Derry Masters GAA team.
